Opportunity:

RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts per schedule (Saturday/Sunday required)
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• First to float between all Telemetry and MedSurg units
• Floating required between Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses (9 miles apart); campus and unit notification provided 1.5 hours prior to shift start
• Mid-shift floating to different units is possible
• Must clock out when leaving one campus and clock in upon arrival at the other campus
• Patient ratios vary by unit: 1:3-4 on Tele units and 1:4 on MedSurg units
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, and Dobutamine
• Must be able to interpret EKGs; centralized telemetry monitoring across Tele units
• No ventilator management required
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
• Charge nurses present on all units and do not carry patient assignments
• PCTs available on all units
• Scrub color: Navy
• Charting system: Cerner
• BSN not required
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract signing (maximum 2 attempts within 48 hours of offer)
• Must pass a pass/fail Sim Lab on day one of orientation
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Common patient populations include post cath lab, post vascular procedures, CABG patients, neuro post-surgical, spine, CVAs post TPA, orthopedic, surgical, and oncology patients
• No pediatric patients; minimum patient age is 15 years old
• Acute care setting
