Opportunity:

RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts per schedule (Saturday/Sunday required)
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• First to float between all Telemetry and MedSurg units
• Floating required between Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses (9 miles apart); notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hours prior to shift start
• Mid-shift floating to different units may occur
• Must clock out when leaving one campus and clock in upon arrival at the other campus
• Depending on skill level, nurses may float to ICU, Cardiac Tele, all Tele units, MedSurg, and any holding area including Cath Lab, ER, observation floor, or hallway
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips
• Must be able to interpret EKGs; centralized telemetry monitoring
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 on Tele units and 1:4 on MedSurg units
• Navy scrubs required across all units
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
• Charge nurses present on all units with no patient assignments
• PCTs available on units at a ratio of 1 per every 16 patients on Tele units
• Charting system: Cerner
• Trauma Level 1 facility; acute care setting
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract signing (maximum 2 attempts within 48 hours of offer)
• Pass/fail Simulation Lab required on day one of orientation
