Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes
• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles
• Effectively interact with patients and visitors while maintaining the standard of professional nursing
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Patient ratios: 4 patients per nurse on days, 5 patients per nurse on nights
• Unit has 33 beds with a daily census of 30
• 6-week scheduling cycle with 6 weekend shifts required per schedule (12 weekend shifts per contract)
• Self-scheduling unit
• May be asked to float to a different floor or alternate campus
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
• Altera charting system experience preferred, not required
• 2 years of experience in PCU/Telemetry required
• Travel experience required
• Must live 150 miles or more from facility
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
