Telemetry RN Job in Sioux City, IA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse on a general medical/surgical telemetry unit at UnityPoint – St. Luke's Downtown in Sioux City, Iowa. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of November 9, 2026.

What you'll do:

• Provide direct patient care on the med-surg floor, managing post-operative patients requiring overnight stays
• Care for patients following procedures including prostatectomy, mastectomy, abdominal surgeries, and thyroidectomy
• Administer Heparin drips and other medications as part of your clinical responsibilities
• Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to manage patient care and outcomes
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed

Schedule and expectations:

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, nights
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must work 2 of 3 winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day
• Weekly pay: $2,362

Requirements:

• Active Iowa or compact nursing license (Nursys verification required)
• Minimum 2+ years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
• BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates accepted)
• NIHSS certification
• Skills checklist specific to Med-Surg/Telemetry discipline
• One supervisory reference form completed within the last two years
• Valid driver's license; must reside at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address

Facility information:

The facility uses the EPIC EMR system and requires Navy Blue dress code. You'll be working in a supportive environment focused on quality patient care.
