Job Details:

• Position is for a technologist (not a nurse) with neuro experience
• Schedule is five 8-hour shifts per week from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 1-2 call shifts per week required
• 1 call weekend per month required
• Call coverage is staffed 24/7, 365 days a year including holidays that fall within the contract timeline
• Perform interventional neuroradiology procedures as well as myelograms, lumbar punctures, arthrograms, and aspirations
• Additional procedures include angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, carotid stenting, catheter/drain exchange, chest tube placement, embolization, ERCP, gastrostomy tube placement, IVC filter placement, liver biopsy, nephrostomy, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and upper and lower extremity angiography
• Work within a Stroke Center environment
• Treat patients across all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Department consists of 3 rooms
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ARRT R, BLS, ARRT Advanced Certification, Virginia license
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Virginia license required; pending license accepted if licensure is held in another state
• 50-mile radius rule applies to this position
• Travelers must float within their scope of practice as needed
