PICU RN Job in Denver, CO

HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke's is seeking a travel RN for its Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Denver, Colorado. You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, for a 91-week assignment beginning October 26, 2026. Weekly pay is $1,962.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a 20-bed PICU with patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity. Your team on day shift includes a free charge nurse, nine bedside RNs, and one PCT. You will collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialists to deliver intensive care to critically ill children.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage pediatric patients requiring intensive monitoring and life support
• Perform conscious sedations and care for patients with respiratory failure, including endotracheal tubes (ETT) and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV)
• Maintain and care for central lines
• Assist with chest tube (CT) placement
• Execute venous puncture skills as needed
• Monitor patients using Philips monitors and manage IV medications via Alaris and Medfusion pumps
• Document care in the Meditech electronic medical record system

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum one year of current PICU RN experience
• BLS and PALS certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-operative cardiac care experience
• Advanced venous puncture skills
• Flexibility and strong teamwork abilities
