PICU RN Job in Denver, CO

HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke's is seeking a travel RN for a seasonal position in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This is a day shift role working 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on a 3x12 schedule, running for 91 days beginning November 16, 2026.

The Role

You will provide direct bedside care in a 20-bed PICU with patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1. The unit is staffed with 9 bedside RNs and 1 free charge nurse per shift, creating a collaborative environment focused on pediatric critical care.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage care for pediatric patients with respiratory failure, including endotracheal intubation and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV)
• Perform conscious sedations
• Manage and maintain central lines and chest tube placement
• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing

Equipment & Systems

You will work with Philips monitors, Alaris and Medfusion IV pumps, and the Meditech EMR system.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of current PICU RN experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current PALS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-operative cardiac experience
• Venous puncture skills

The unit values flexibility and a team-oriented approach. Weekly pay is $1,962.
