PICU RN Job in Denver, CO

HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke's is seeking a registered nurse for a seasonal travel position in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This 91-day assignment begins November 16, 2026, and offers competitive compensation of $1,962 weekly.

Position Overview

You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, providing direct patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment. Patient ratios are managed at 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity level, allowing you to deliver focused, high-quality care to pediatric patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Monitor patients using Philip monitors and administer medications via Alaris and Medfusion IV pumps
• Perform conscious sedations and manage respiratory failure patients, including those on ETT and HFOV support
• Place and maintain chest tubes
• Manage central lines and provide ongoing central line care
• Document patient information in the Meditech EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of PICU experience
• BLS certification
• PALS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-operative cardiac care experience
• Venous puncture experience
