Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Day shift position in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Weekend coverage supported by rotating call schedule among 6 to 8 staff members
• On-call after 5:00 PM daily and on weekends, supported by Primary and Backup call staff
• 13 to 26 week contract options available
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics
• Daily census of approximately 15 patients
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Neurology experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Required skills: Complex wound care, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, tracheostomy care and management
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• May be required to float to other units for which competencies have been demonstrated and documented
