PACU RN Job in Denver, CO

HCA HealthONE Swedish CO is seeking a registered nurse for a seasonal travel position in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). You will work 12-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM, three days per week, for 91 days beginning September 28, 2026.

Role Overview

You will float between multiple PACU units, including the Main PACU and Surgical Robotics center, as well as the Orthopedic Surgery Center. You will care for post-operative patients across a combined 59 bays in Pre-Op and PACU areas. Patient ratios are typically 1 RN to 2 patients, with same-day surgery patients potentially up to 3 at a time, staffed according to ASPAN standards.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative and post-anesthesia recovery care for patients receiving anesthesia
• Care for high-acuity neuro patients, including those with stroke, interventional radiology procedures, TAVRs, and critical care overflow
• Support surgical cases across multiple specialties: spine, general, GI, colorectal, total joints, gynecology, and robotics
• Monitor patients using GE monitoring systems and document in the Meditech EMR

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Critical care experience and/or PACU experience
• Current PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications
• NIHSS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Stroke care experience

Compensation

Weekly pay is $1,971.
