PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 10-hour rotating day shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, four days per week
• Full-time position
• 2 weekends of call per month (Saturday and Sunday count as 1 weekend)
• One night call per week required
• Float to other units within surgical services as needed
• Use EPIC electronic medical records system
• Wear Graphite Gray scrubs per dress code requirements
• Obtain and record initial patient assessments and establish priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
• Reassess patients systematically to identify progress and trends requiring intervention
• Develop and implement individualized, measurable plans of care for patients
• Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of facts and patient outcome evaluations
• Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
• Implement and document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs
• Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
• Delegate unit work assignments and coordinate team assignments based on patient and unit needs
• Serve as a resource to visitors, physicians, and staff
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program required
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
• Current BLS via AHA Certification required
• Current ACLS via AHA Certification required
• Current PALS via AHA Certification required
