RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts on an every other week (EOW) schedule
• First to float as needed to ICU, PCU, MS, and Tele units across both campuses based on department skill needs
• Unit operates on a 7/7 shift schedule
• Required to work 2 weekend shifts per pay period; scheduling may vary based on unit needs and nursing leadership discretion
• Holiday shifts required
• Standby/call requirement per contract with a maximum of 3 per 12 weeks
• 12-bed CVICU unit with patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 based on acuity
• Common diagnoses include AMI, CAD, and PVD
• Must be proficient with IABP, CRRT, and fresh open heart surgery patients from the OR
• Required to titrate drips including Dex, Propofol, Dopamine, Neo, Epi, Levo, Insulin, Cardene, and others
• Experience with RT equipment including ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, Vapotherm, and high-flow oxygen
• In-room monitoring only using Nihon Kohden system; RNs are responsible for reading strips
• Intensivists available in-house; charge nurse and house supervisor available 24/7
• Impella experience desired
• Charting system: Cerner
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Must have more than 2 years of CVICU experience
• Must take and pass dysrhythmia exam with a score of 80% or higher within two attempts prior to signing contract
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• BSN not required
• Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract; 3 shifts if contract is under 13 weeks
