CVICU RN Job in Glendale, Arizona

Banner Thunderbird Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This is a 3x12 night shift position with an 89-day contract starting June 22, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,446.20.

You will provide direct patient care to cardiovascular intensive care patients, performing comprehensive assessments that address physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs. You will formulate and implement individualized plans of care based on assessment data and patient and family input, then evaluate and revise care based on patient response and teaching outcomes.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for CVICU patients
• Conduct comprehensive patient and family assessments including discharge planning needs
• Implement care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of healthcare team activities
• Document all aspects of patient care in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements
• Provide care based on physician orders and nursing plans in compliance with standards of care
• Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to other licensed nurses and personnel
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in education, orientation, and mentoring of facility personnel and students
• Work varied schedule with weekend and holiday rotation requirements
• Accept possible call responsibilities and float to support other units as needed

Requirements:

• Current valid RN license in Arizona
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience
• Experience in acute care setting within past 12 months as Registered Nurse in specialty area
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
