Telemetry RN Job in Fort Wayne, IN

You will work as an RN in a fast-paced telemetry environment at The Orthopedic Hospital of Lutheran Health Network in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This is a 13-week travel nursing assignment focused on post-surgical patient care in a collaborative, structured setting.

Position Details

• Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 3 nights per week
• Guaranteed 72 hours bi-weekly
• 37-bed telemetry unit with a 1:5 patient ratio
• No on-call or floating requirements
• No block scheduling; no blackout dates for time off

Your Role

You will deliver care to post-surgical patients in a telemetry setting that operates with established order sets and protocols. The unit emphasizes collaboration and adherence to surgeon preferences for optimal patient outcomes. You will work with a stable team in a structured environment without the unpredictability of floating or call shifts.

Requirements

• Active RN licensure in Indiana
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Residency requirement: more than 50 miles from the facility

What to Expect

The unit uses Cerner EMR (familiarity preferred but not required). Scrub colors are black or royal blue. You will work in a medical-surgical telemetry environment focused on delivering consistent, protocol-driven care to recovering surgical patients.
