Telemetry RN Job in Bedford, IN

Join IU Health Bedford Hospital as a Registered Nurse on our Adult/Geriatric Med Surg Telemetry unit. This 91-day travel assignment offers you the opportunity to work in a patient-centered environment with a daily census of 24 patients across 20 rooms.

Position Details

• Shift: 4x12 nights with 48 guaranteed hours per workweek
• Weekly pay: $2,402
• Start date: November 17, 2026
• Every other weekend required; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Patient ratios: 1:5–6 on days, nights, and weekends

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (screened at 1.5 years)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Preferred experience with Cerner charting system
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Clinical Responsibilities

You will manage telemetry monitoring, administer blood products, maintain central lines and chest tubes, provide BiPAP/CPAP management, and interpret dysrhythmias. Additional skills include managing ports, PICCs, peripheral lines, feeding tubes, and colostomy/ileostomy care. You will interpret ABGs, manage high-flow nasal cannula, administer insulin and heparin protocols, and perform phlebotomy.

Patient Population Experience

Experience with COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CVA, hypoxia, electrolyte imbalances, hypertension, small bowel obstruction, altered mental status, thoracentesis, and renal failure is preferred.

Facility Resources

Floating within IU Health Bedford Hospital or to affiliate facilities is required. You will have interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary. Free parking is available. Red scrub tops and black pants are required.
