PACU RN Job in York, Maine

York Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for its Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This is a full-time travel position spanning 13 weeks, with a start date of September 14, 2026.

Position Details

• Schedule: 36 hours per week across 4 nine-hour day shifts
• Weekend call rotation required
• Weekly pay: $2,232

Requirements

• RN license (valid in Maine)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification

As a PACU nurse, you will provide immediate postoperative care to patients recovering from anesthesia. Your responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, managing pain and nausea, assessing surgical sites, and facilitating smooth transitions to inpatient units or discharge. You will work alongside anesthesiologists, surgeons, and surgical nursing staff in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and quick decision-making are essential.
