PACU RN Job in Portland, ME

You will work as a Registered Nurse in Post Anesthesia Care at MMC-P Bramhall Campus in Portland, Maine. This is a 182-day travel assignment with night shifts on a 4x12 schedule, earning $2,840 per week. Your start date is September 7, 2026.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide Phase 1 post-anesthesia care with a 2:1 patient ratio (up to 3–4 patients for 23-hour stays)
• Support overnight population and procedures including Cardiac Cath, EP, TAVR, TEE Cardioversion, Vascular, Robotic TAVR, and Pediatric Caths
• Manage cardiac drips, IVs, telemetry monitoring, groin management, and EKGs
• Perform pre- and post-procedure care for TEE, CV, Cath, EP, and OR procedures
• Read telemetry strips and monitor cardiac rhythms
• Float as needed to Bramhall PACU, IMC, ICU, and Main PACU when required
• Handle IV pumps, PCAs, epidurals, A-lines, telemetry, TEE/CV equipment, and Epic EMR

Schedule and Staffing

• 4x12 night shifts per week
• Weekly guaranteed hours of 48 preferred; 36 hours acceptable
• Saturday day shifts scheduled every other weekend
• Rotating call requirements with every other weekend on-call

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 3 years recent PACU experience
• ICU experience required
• Trauma Level 1 experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Ability to read telemetry strips
