Opportunity:

Radiology / Cardiology - Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

• 4x10 shift schedule
• Approximately 5-6 nights of call per month required
• Weeknight call begins at 5:00 PM and ends at 6:30 AM the following morning
• One weekend of call per month required
• Weekend call begins Friday at 5:00 PM and continues through Monday at 6:30 AM
• No floating requirement
• Department has approximately 5 procedure rooms with an average daily census of 20 patients and approximately 15 visits per day
• Supports diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Must be proficient scrubbing and monitoring all scheduled procedures including TAVRs, AAA repair, STEMI, defibrillator and pacemaker insertions/removals, and peripheral angiography
• Required to perform and be comfortable with adult diagnostic catheterizations, left and right heart catheterizations, cardiac stent placement, PCI, PTCA, rotational atherectomy, IABP placement/removal, and cardiac implant closure devices
• Peripheral angiography experience required, including lower-extremity angiograms and carotid stent procedures
• AICD insertion and programming experience required
• Must be comfortable recognizing life-threatening dysrhythmias
• Room circulation and maintaining a sterile field required
• Preferred equipment experience includes McKesson monitoring system, Philips X-ray, Volcano IVUS and FFR, and Boston Scientific IVUS and FFR
• McKesson charting system experience required
• Dark blue scrubs required; scrubs are provided
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and either RCIS or ARRT certification
• Active Maryland license required
• Basic EKG assessment required
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab Tech experience required
• Strong cardiac catheterization and vascular procedure experience required
• One pre-approved time-off request permitted per contract
• Every other winter and summer holiday required with no RTO approved
• No RTO on hard-to-fill days such as Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc.
