ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three days per week
• Schedule includes weekdays with every other weekend required
• Guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours per week at RN's choice; overtime applies after 48 hours for 4x12 schedules
• Patient ratio of 5:1
• Patient population: Adults and Geriatrics
• No on-call requirements
• May float to the ED as needed
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; minimum 1 year of in-specialty experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience
• MS/Telemetry and ER Holding experience preferred
• Scrub color: Royal Blue/White
• Charting system: Cerner (experience required)
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), CPI, TNCC
• WV or Compact RN License required; pending license accepted for submission
• Special skills required include:
  - IV Therapy/Phlebotomy: Accessing ports, blood product administration, peripheral line care and management, starting IVs
  - Medications: Heparin protocols, managing cardiac drips (no titration)
  - Neurological/Psychiatric: CVA, seizure disorders, substance withdrawal
  - Respiratory/Thoracic: External CPAP/BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tank, non-invasive airway management, care of ventilated patients, and tracheostomy management (preferred)
