ED Registered Nurse Job in Charleston, WV

CAMC Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 12, 2026.

Position Details

• Specialty: Emergency Department (ED)
• Schedule: 3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Patient ratio: 5:1
• No on-call requirements
• May float to ED as needed
• Weekly pay: $1,944

Requirements

• Current WV or Compact RN license (pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Minimum 1 year ED experience
• Travel experience required
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), CPI, and TNCC certifications
• Cerner charting system experience required; SBAR familiarity

Clinical Skills

• IV therapy and phlebotomy: port access and management, blood product administration, peripheral line care, IV initiation and maintenance
• Medication management: heparin protocols, cardiac drip management (non-titrating)
• Neurological and psychiatric care: CVA, seizure disorders, substance withdrawal
• Respiratory support: external CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), oxygen masks, portable oxygen tanks, non-invasive airway management, ventilated patient care, and tracheostomy management (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• MS/Telemetry and ER Holding experience
• Previous charge nurse experience
• First-time travelers with appropriate experience are welcome

Uniform: Royal Blue and White scrubs. This position offers a defined schedule with no floating requirement outside the ED.
