ED RN Job in Charleston, WV

CAMC Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 29, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3 shifts per week, 12-hour nights (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Weekday shifts with every other weekend required
• Guaranteed 36 or 48 hours per week (your choice); overtime after 48 hours for 4x12 schedules
• Weekly pay: $1,952
• No on-call requirements

Clinical Details

• Patient population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Patient ratio: 5:1
• May float to ED as needed
• Charting system: Cerner (experience required)
• Scrub color: Royal Blue/White

Required Certifications & Credentials

• WV or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission)
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), CPI, TNCC
• Minimum 2 years RN experience; minimum 1 year in-specialty ED experience
• Travel experience required

Required Clinical Skills

• IV Therapy: Accessing ports, blood product administration, peripheral line care and management, starting IVs
• Medications: Heparin protocols, managing cardiac drips (no titration)
• Neurological/Psychiatric: CVA, seizure disorders, substance withdrawal
• Respiratory/Thoracic: External CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tank, non-invasive airway management, care of ventilated patients

Preferred Qualifications

• Tracheostomy management experience
• MS/Telemetry and ER Holding experience
• First-time travelers with appropriate experience accepted
