Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 10-week contract with an ASAP start date
• 12-hour variable day and night shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Low census eligible in hour increments as needed, typically in 4-hour increments
• Work in a 40-bed Post Surgical Care Unit providing pre and post-surgical care for adults and geriatric patients
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:4 or 1:5 during day/PM shifts and 1:5 to 1:7 during night shifts
• Fast-paced unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day with 90-95% occupancy during the week
• Average patient length of stay is 2-3 days
• Must have ability to multitask, prioritize patient care needs based on acuity, and work as a team
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Equipment used includes Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Wisconsin RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC) required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrubs: any color
