Med Surg RN Job in Corpus Christi, TX

You will work as an RN in a 15-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility at Doctors Regional Medical Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. This is a night shift position (7 PM to 7 AM) on a 3x12 schedule for 13 weeks, starting September 7, 2026. Your weekly pay is $1,521.

Your Role:

• Care for patients on the 3S floor with patient ratios of 5:1, maximum 6:1
• Perform patient transfers, bladder scans, dressing changes, and medication administration
• Use equipment including vital sign machines, transfer equipment (Hoyer lift and sliding boards), EKG machines, and bladder scanners
• Document in the Meditech EMR system and dispense medications via Pyxis
• Conduct bedside reports and handoffs, hourly rounding, and activate bed alarm protocols
• Work with a team that includes 1 charge nurse (carrying full patient load), 1 additional RN, and 1 CNA on your shift

Schedule and Staffing:

• Night shift hours: 7 PM to 7 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend schedule with holiday coverage required
• On-call requirements are seldom and typically only when hospital census is low
• You may float to Med-Surg, Telemetry, Renal, Urology, Orthopedic, and overflow units (ICU is excluded)

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Active RN licensure and current BLS certification
• Transfer training and EMR proficiency required
• Rehabilitation experience and familiarity with rehab scoring documentation preferred
• Ability to work as a team member and take initiative in a collaborative environment
