About this role

You will work as a Respiratory Therapist on a 91-day travel assignment at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a night shift position running 3x12 (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM), with a weekly pay of $2,142.

Role Overview

You will provide respiratory care across all critical care units and floors as assigned. You will manage patient care for a diverse population, working alongside 12–16 RRTs on the adult service lines and 3–4 RRTs supporting NICU and pediatric service lines during night shifts. Your patient load will range from 10 to 25 patients per shift, depending on unit assignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and troubleshoot GE R860 adult ventilators, Draeger infant and pediatric ventilators, Newport HT70 transport ventilators, V60 non-invasive devices, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow high-flow oxygen devices
  • Document all patient care and clinical assessments using the Cerner EMR system
  • Collaborate with nursing and physician teams to optimize respiratory support and patient outcomes
  • Maintain equipment safety and readiness standards

Schedule and Requirements

You will work night shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) on a 3x12 basis. The assignment includes varying weekend coverage, with a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Assignment duration is 91 days, with a start date of July 20, 2026.

Required Qualifications

  • Current RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • PALS certification
  • North Carolina Respiratory License

Preferred Qualifications

  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
