Respiratory Therapist Job in Asheville, NC

You will work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist on a 91-day travel assignment at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a backfill position with a night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Your weekly pay is $2,012.

Your Role

You will float across all critical care units and floors, providing respiratory care to patients throughout the facility. Night shift staffing includes 12–16 RRTs for adult service lines and 3–4 RRTs for NICU/Pediatric service lines. Your patient ratio will range from 10 to 25 patients depending on assignment. You will be expected to work a varying weekend schedule with at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.

Equipment and Systems

You will operate and document with the following:

• GE R860 Adult ventilators
• Draeger Infant/Pediatric ventilators
• Newport HT70 transport ventilator
• V60 Non-invasive device
• Vapotherm and Comfort Flow high-flow oxygen devices
• Cerner EMR for documentation

Qualifications

Only Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) will be considered; CRTs are not eligible. You must hold:

• RRT certification
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• North Carolina Respiratory License
• NRP certification (preferred)

Dress Code

Medium Gray or Pewter scrubs are required.

Assignment Details

Start date is July 20, 2026. The assignment runs for 91 days. You will be part of Mission Hospital's respiratory care team, supporting both adult and pediatric critical care populations.
