Job Details:

• Administer competent respiratory care through airway management, mechanical ventilator management, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and respiratory care procedures
• Provide aerosol medication delivery, basic bedside pulmonary function testing, breathing exercises, and oxygen therapy
• Perform arterial punctures and all aspects of airway management including aspiration of established airways, tracheostomy care, tracheostomy tube changes, endotracheal intubations, and extubations
• Perform Pulmonary Function Testing as needed
• Manage Extracorporeal circulation for cardiac and respiratory support of patients when working with ECMO
• Perform all aspects of ventilator care including setting up ventilators, utilizing specialized ventilator modes, monitoring patients, and providing appropriate weaning techniques
• Transport pediatric and neonatal patients from referral hospitals per Air Care Protocol when applicable
• Perform advanced practice procedures including UAC, UVC, IV insertion, chest tube insertion, needle decompression, ABGs, and blood glucose monitoring when working with Air Care
• May be required to be on-call days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to work with Pediatrics, NICU, and/or PICU patients
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting required
• EPIC experience required
• Oscillator experience within the last 5 years required
• Functions independently with minimal supervision and serves as a resource to other staff
• ECMO experience required
