Respiratory Therapist Job in Asheville, NC

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work nights on a 3x12 schedule, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, at $1,521 per week.

Your Role

You will float across all critical care units and floors as part of the respiratory care team. Night shift staffing includes 12–16 RRTs for adult service lines and 3–4 RRTs for NICU/Pediatric service lines. Patient ratios range from 10 to 25 patients depending on unit assignment. A variable weekend schedule is required, with at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week cycle.

Equipment and Systems

You will work with a range of respiratory equipment, including:

• GE R860 Adult ventilators
• Draeger Infant/Pediatric ventilators
• Newport HT70 transport ventilator
• V60 Non-invasive device
• Vapotherm and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices

Documentation occurs in the Cerner EMR system.

Requirements

You must hold an active RRT credential and a North Carolina Respiratory License. Current certifications required are BLS, ACLS, and PALS. NRP certification is preferred. Only Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) will be considered; CRTs are not eligible.

Medium Gray/Pewter scrubs are required as part of the facility dress code.
