Respiratory Therapist Job in Asheville, NC

You will work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC, on a 91-day travel assignment. This position runs nights from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM on a 3x12 schedule, with weekly pay of $1,521.

Role Overview

You will float across all critical care units and floors, supporting both adult and pediatric service lines including NICU. Your patient ratio will range from 10 to 25 patients per shift. Night shift staffing consists of 12–16 RRTs for adult service lines and 3–4 RRTs for NICU/Pediatric service lines, so you will be part of a full team.

Equipment and Clinical Focus

You will operate and work with:

• GE R860 Adult ventilators
• Draeger Infant/Pediatric ventilators
• Newport HT70 transport ventilator
• V60 Non-invasive device
• Vapotherm and Comfort Flow high-flow oxygen devices

You will document using the Cerner EMR system.

Schedule and Requirements

This is a night shift role with a varying weekend schedule requiring at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Start date is September 28, 2026.

Credentials and Certifications

Required credentials and certifications:

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) — CRTs will not be considered
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• North Carolina Respiratory License
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification is preferred
