Respiratory Therapist Job in Asheville, NC

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a travel assignment. You will work nights on a 3x12 schedule, from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a 91-day duration beginning October 12, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide respiratory care across all critical care units and floors as floating staff. Night shift staffing includes 12–16 RRTs for adult service lines and 3–4 RRTs for NICU/Pediatric service lines. Patient ratios range from 10 to 25 patients. A variable weekend schedule is required, with at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.

Equipment & Systems

You will work with the following equipment:

• GE R860 Adult ventilators
• Draeger Infant/Pediatric ventilators
• Newport HT70 transport ventilator
• V60 Non-invasive device
• Vapotherm
• Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices

Documentation will be completed using the Cerner EMR system.

Requirements

Only Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) are eligible for consideration. You must hold current certifications in RRT, BLS, ACLS, and PALS, as well as a North Carolina Respiratory License. NRP certification is preferred.

Dress Code

Medium Gray/Pewter scrubs are required.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $1,955.
