Respiratory Therapist Job in Asheville, NC

You will work as a Respiratory Therapist in the Respiratory Services department at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a 91-day travel assignment on the night shift.

Shift and Schedule

• 3 nights per week, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Varying weekend schedule with at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Weekly pay: $2,142
• Start date: July 20, 2026

Role and Responsibilities

• Work in the main Respiratory Services department on floor A343
• Float to all critical care units and floors as needed to support patient care
• Manage patient ratios ranging from 10 to 25 patients
• Operate equipment including GE R860 Adult vents, Draeger Infant/Peds vents, Newport HT70 transport vent, V60 Non-invasive device, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices
• Use the Cerner EMR system for documentation

Facility Staffing

• Night shift staffing: 12–16 RRTs for adult service lines and 3–4 RRTs for NICU/Peds service lines
• Day shift staffing: 15–20 RRTs for adult service lines and 3–4 RRTs for NICU/Peds service lines

Requirements

• Current RRT certification
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• North Carolina Respiratory License required
• NRP certification preferred
• Medium Gray/Pewter scrubs required
