Respiratory Therapist Job in Asheville, NC

You will work as a Respiratory Therapist on a travel contract at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a 91-day assignment starting July 20, 2026, with a night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week (6:30 PM–7:00 AM). Your weekly pay is $2,142.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care across all critical care units and floors as assigned
• Manage patient care for adult service lines and NICU/Pediatric service lines
• Work with patient ratios ranging from 10 to 25 patients depending on unit assignment
• Operate ventilation equipment including GE R860 adult ventilators, Draeger infant/pediatric ventilators, Newport HT70 transport ventilators, V60 non-invasive devices, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow high-flow oxygen devices
• Document patient care using the Cerner EMR system
• Complete varying weekend shifts, with a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Required Qualifications

• Allied Health Professional credential as Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Current RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• North Carolina Respiratory License

Preferred Qualification

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Additional Information

Night shift staffing includes 12–16 RRTs for adult service lines and 3–4 RRTs for NICU/Pediatric service lines. Scrub color is Medium Gray/Pewter. You will be expected to work collaboratively with the respiratory therapy team and adapt to the needs of the facility throughout your assignment.
