PCU Progressive Care Unit RN Job in Indianapolis, IN

Join Franciscan Health Indianapolis as a Registered Nurse in our 27-bed Progressive Care Unit. This is a direct-hire travel position offering stability, competitive pay, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in acute care nursing.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care to a progressive care population including sepsis, respiratory distress, substance abuse disorders, endocrine disorders, psychiatric conditions, and renal conditions. Your responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, peripheral lab draws, and management of critical drips including norepinephrine, nicardipine, precedex, insulin, and diltiazem.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3 shifts of 12 hours each per week (days: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend commitment required
• No on-call requirements
• $2,128.68 weekly pay
• 91-day assignment starting August 24, 2026

Patient Care Details

• Patient ratios of 1:3 to 1:4
• Float to other inpatient areas when home unit is low census
• Proficiency required with Alaris Pumps and EKG monitoring equipment
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of progressive care experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• EKG test required for consideration
• Comprehensive assessment skills and peripheral lab draw experience

Dress Code

Navy scrubs required. Hoodies and non-facility sweatshirts are not acceptable.
