PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU Stepdown

Job Details:

• Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend commitment required (Saturday and Sunday)
• No on-call requirements
• Patient ratios of 1:3 to 1:4 on a 27-bed Progressive Care Unit
• Float to other inpatient areas required when home unit is low census
• Minimum 2 years of progressive care experience required
• EKG test required for consideration
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must have comprehensive assessment skills and experience with peripheral lab draws
• Must be proficient with drip management including norepinephrine, nicardipine, precedex, insulin, and diltiazem
• Experience working with Alaris Pumps and EKG monitoring equipment required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Patient population includes sepsis, respiratory distress, substance abuse disorders, endocrine disorders, psych disorders, and renal conditions
• Scrub color: Navy
• Hoodies and non-facility sweatshirts are not acceptable attire
