Physical Therapist Assistant Job in Worcester, MA

Tide Health Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a temporary position at Worcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. This is a long-term care setting where you will deliver rehabilitative and skilled treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based rehabilitative treatment interventions to support patient recovery and functional improvement
• Administer therapeutic procedures including manual techniques, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive device instruction
• Assess patient progress and communicate findings with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatment plans as needed
• Report treatment effectiveness and outcomes to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders
• Communicate with supervisor and health team members about patient progress, barriers, and treatment goals
• Document all required clinical and regulatory information in the electronic health record system
• Accurately record treatment minutes for all services provided in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation team meetings
• Supervise and support students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist

Position Details

• Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour days (days shift)
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: September 14, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,670.40
• No on-call or weekend requirements

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts PTA license at time of submission
• Minimum 1+ years of PTA experience
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
• Skills checklist to be completed within 1 year
• Adherence to APTA practice standards and state regulations
