Physical Therapist Assistant Job in Rockland, MA

Tide Health Group - Southshore is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a long-term care position in Rockland, MA. This is a 91-day travel assignment running 5 days per week on the day shift, with weekly compensation of $1,694.

In this role, you will work under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver rehabilitative and skilled treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders. You will apply evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions and help patients regain mobility and independence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Administer rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, ambulation training, modalities, and assistive device instruction
• Assess patient progress and communicate findings with your supervising Physical Therapist
• Report treatment outcomes and adjust interventions as needed
• Provide counseling and consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and service providers regarding physical disorders
• Document all services in the electronic documentation system and maintain accurate patient records
• Record treatment minutes in compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and rehabilitation meetings
• Collaborate with your Physical Therapist to obtain necessary durable medical equipment and supplies
• Support and supervise students under Physical Therapist guidance
• Complete required facility trainings, in-services, and professional development

Requirements:

• Active Massachusetts PTA license
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
• Knowledge of APTA practice standards and State practice acts
• Commitment to professional code of conduct and ethics
