Endoscopy RN Job in Carmel, IN

IU Health North Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Endoscopy department in Carmel, Indiana. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 22, 2026, offering flexible scheduling and competitive compensation of $2,184 weekly.

Schedule and Hours

• Work three consecutive 12-hour day shifts of your choice Monday through Friday
• 36 guaranteed hours per workweek
• Block schedule available with no weekend shifts required
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

On-Call Requirements

• One Monday through Thursday on-call shift (5:00 PM to 5:30 AM) per week
• One weekend on-call every six weeks (Friday 5:00 PM to Monday 5:30 AM)
• Saturday and Sunday on-call shifts are 24-hour rotations

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 patient care for pre-procedure, intraprocedural, and post-procedure phases
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation
• Perform upper and lower GI procedures, colonoscopy, EGD, esophageal varices and banding, bronchoscopy, ERCP, EUS, EBUS, and pain management procedures
• Handle specimen labeling and processing
• Maintain IV access and provide pediatric endoscopy care
• May float to PACU as needed within scope
• Tuesdays typically offer lighter patient volumes

Patient Population

The unit serves both pediatric patients (0 months to 18 years) and adults, with pediatric cases scheduled Monday through Thursday.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of endoscopy experience
• Pediatric endoscopy, bronchoscopy, and Cerner experience within the last 2 years
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Current Indiana state RN license at time of submission
• Cerner charting system proficiency required; Provation experience preferred
• Non-Indiana residents only
