Endoscopy RN Job in Carmel, IN

IU Health North Hospital in Carmel, Indiana is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Endoscopy department. You'll work in a high-volume unit serving both pediatric (0–18 years) and adult patients, providing direct patient care in a one-to-one setting.

Schedule and Shift Options:

• Four consecutive 12-hour day shifts (48 hours per week guaranteed)
• Three 12-hour day shifts (36 hours per week guaranteed)
• Eight or 10-hour shifts (40 hours per week guaranteed)
• No weekend requirement; block schedule flexibility Monday–Friday
• On-call: one Monday–Thursday shift (5:00 PM–5:30 AM) per week, and one weekend rotation (Friday 5:00 PM–Monday 5:30 AM) every 6 weeks
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient care with 1:1 ratio
• Conscious sedation administration and monitoring
• Upper and Lower GI, Bronchoscopy, EBUS, ERCP, EUS, and Pain Management procedures
• Skills include colonoscopy, EGD, esophageal varices and banding, specimen handling, IV placement, and recovery of conscious and monitored anesthesia care sedation
• Pediatric procedures scheduled Monday–Thursday; Tuesdays typically lighter
• Float to PACU as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years Endoscopy experience
• Pediatric endoscopy, Cerner, and Bronchoscopy experience within the last 2 years
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Cerner charting system experience
• Provation experience preferred
