Respiratory Therapist Job in Biddeford, ME

Maine Medical Center - Biddeford is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment. You'll work nights on a 3x12 schedule with 36 guaranteed weekly hours, no on-call requirements, and a 91-day contract starting September 13, 2026.

In this role, you'll float throughout the hospital treating patients from newborns to adults. Your responsibilities include:

• Provide respiratory care in the ICU, ER, Nursery (Level 1), and Med/Surg floors
• Treat pediatric patients requiring intubation and mechanical ventilation in the ER
• Attend high-risk C-sections and participate in resuscitation teams in the Nursery
• Manage equipment including Drager V500 ventilators, V60 BiPAP, Hamilton T-1 transport ventilator, Airvo high-flow oxygen units, NéoPuff, and RAM cannula
• Document care using the EPIC system

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Current RRT, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
• Proficiency with EPIC documentation
• Competency in treating newborns and critically ill pediatric patients

Preferred qualifications:

• NICU and PICU experience

You'll earn $2,367 weekly. Scrubs of any color are acceptable. This is an Allied Health Professional position offering the opportunity to work across multiple clinical settings in a comprehensive medical center.
