Opportunity:

RN - Orthopedics

Job Details:

• 3x12 day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• One holiday and one evening shift required during the holiday period
• No on-call responsibilities
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; no first-time travelers
• Travel experience required
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Specialize in pre-op and post-op orthopedic care for elective and trauma patients
• Treat patients across age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 with possible stretch to 1:7
• Orthopedic and trauma experience required
• Experience with Total Hip, Knee, and Shoulder Replacements and Repairs; Ortho Trauma
• Use of safe patient handling equipment and orthopedic equipment including CPM, Knee Immobilizer, and Bone Foam
• Use of Rapid Response Teams required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Required skills include blood product administration, telemetry, peripheral nerve block catheters, PICC line management, wound care/wound vac, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Travelers may be floated to other campus locations as needed
