Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Neuro

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts
• Accept 36 or 48 hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Work every other weekend required
• Floating required to other Med/Surg and Telemetry areas
• 36 hours of unit orientation
• Scrubs: Navy
• Preferred scheduling type
• If a shift is called out, the shift must be made up the same week or at the end of the contract
• If RTO includes weekends, time will be added to end of contract to make up for those dates
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with at least 1 year of direct Med/Surg experience
• Must have at least 2 successful travel contracts prior to applying
• Med/Surg Neuro experience required
• IV Start and Telemetry skills required
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: ACLS
• Charting systems: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
• Primary patient population includes stroke, epilepsy, neurosurgery, traumatic and non-traumatic subdural hematomas, and other neurological diagnoses
• Unit includes a 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)
• Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
