Med Surg RN Job in Sioux City, IA

You'll join UnityPoint - St. Luke's Downtown as a Registered Nurse in our inpatient rehabilitation unit. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 9, 2026, working nights on a 3x12 schedule.

Your Role

You'll work as part of an interdisciplinary team, providing clinical care and management to rehabilitation patients. Your patient ratio will be 1:8. You'll have no on-call responsibilities and will work an every-other-weekend and holiday schedule. You'll be required to work 2 of 3 major winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. You may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed.

Compensation & Schedule

You'll earn $2,208 per week. The assignment includes 16 non-billable orientation hours. Billable overtime applies between 36–40 hours per week.

Requirements

• Active Iowa nursing license or compact nursing license
• At least 1 year of previous rehabilitation experience
• Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates also accepted)
• ACLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates also accepted)
• PALS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates also accepted)
• Mandatory Reporter certification
• Skills checklist specific to the discipline
• One supervisory reference form completed within the last two years
• Valid driver's license
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license
