ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts, either 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• Holiday shifts filled in as needed
• No on-call or standby requirements
• Position is part of the Clinical Support Unit RN Float Pool, floating within your specialty across ER, ICU, MedSurg, Tele, L&D/PP, and NICU at three facilities
• Travelers are first to float and may be floated mid-shift to different units and facilities as needed
• Unit assignment provided via app approximately 1 hour before shift start
• All facilities are approximately 20 minutes apart and located off the interstate with safe parking available
• No self-scheduling; block scheduling attempted but not guaranteed
• Charge nurse present on all units with float pool assistant managers on call 24/7
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: ICU 1:1-2, ER 1:4, MedSurg 1:5, Tele 1:4, Peds 1:3, NICU 1:4
• Nurse aides and patient care techs available on units at ratios of 1:8-10 depending on floor and day
• Required to titrate drips in ICU, ER, Tele, and MedSurg settings
• Must read and interpret tele/monitor equipment in ICU, ER, and Tele units
• Charting system: EPIC
• 3 shifts of inpatient orientation provided with a meet and greet on day one
• No specific scrub color required, but attire must be clean and professional
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required along with previous travel experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• BSN not required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
