PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Low census hours may be taken in increments as needed; unit typically low censuses in 4-hour increments
• 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit with fast-paced, high patient turnover
• Patient ratio typically 1:4
• Care for post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, acute CP/MI, and med/surg overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure, and Fem Pop Bypass patients
• Must be able to pass EKG test during first week of hire
• Must have experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips
• Minimum 1 year of strong cardiac experience required (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU)
• Minimum 2 years of IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required
• At least one prior travel assignment required
• Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
