PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 8-week contract length
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Float requirements to all inpatient units as needed, with potential to float to Wisconsin Rapids, Plover, and Divine Savior
• May be placed on low census call, with a call back minimum of 2 hours
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Work in a Med Surg Intermediate Care Unit managing telemetry and stable patients including sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, stroke, and primary patients on insulin drips
• 12-bed ICU unit and 23-bed MS unit
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, manage change well, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Stepdown/Intermediate Care/PCU required
• At least one completed travel contract required - no new travelers
• EPIC charting experience strongly preferred
• Required certifications: WI or compact RN license, BLS, ACLS (AHA or ARC certifications required)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
• Scrub color: Any
