PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Job Details:

• 12-hour variable shifts with rotation between 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Shift rotation occurs every week or every two weeks
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend required (weekends defined as Friday through Sunday)
• Every other holiday rotation required
• No on-call or call back responsibilities
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, with potential to float to other south region locations including Stevens Point, Plover, and Divine Savior
• No blocked scheduling requests will be accommodated
• 8-bed Medical Surgical Intermediate Care Unit with telemetry monitoring
• Patient population includes stable, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke patients
• Manage primary patients and insulin drips
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Fast-paced unit requiring the ability to work independently, manage tasks in a timely manner, and adapt to change
• 2+ years of stepdown, intermediate care, or PCU experience required
• At least one completed travel contract preferred but not required
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS
• EPIC charting experience required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
• Any color scrubs accepted
