Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with an ASAP start date
• 12-hour day/night variable shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float requirement to all inpatient units
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, which can be taken in hour increments as needed
• Post Surgical Care Unit providing post-recovery care after PACU in a 40-bed inpatient area
• Provides care along a continuum for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients
• Nurse to patient ratio: day/PM 1:4 or 1:5, nights 1:5 to 1:7
• Fast-paced unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day with highest volume occurring on day/PM shifts
• Unit occupancy is 90-95% during the week with an average length of stay of 2-3 days
• Must have ability to multi-task and prioritize patient care needs based on acuity and work as a team
• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Equipment used: Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs accepted
