Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Low census contract eligible for 36 hours of unbillable hours, which can be taken in hour increments as needed - unit typically low censuses in 4-hour increments
• Work on Medical and Pediatrics unit - travelers do not take Pediatrics patients
• Treat adult patients with conditions including respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal
• Typical patient ratios: 1:4-5 on days and 1:6-7 on nights
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Must be able to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and collaborate with team and ancillary staff
• Must demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and a positive attitude with constant shift changes
