RN - CICU

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Self-scheduling with schedules made approximately 6 weeks in advance, subject to manager review before finalization
• Every other weekend requirement with possible holiday shifts
• First to float to telemetry or med-surge units when needed
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for shorter assignments
• Patient ratio of 1:1-2, with 90% of shifts at a 1:2 ratio
• 30-bed Cardiac ICU unit with charge nurses who do not take patient assignments
• Hospitalist available in-house 24/7 along with respiratory therapy and pharmacy support
• GE telemetry monitors and ventilator experience required
• Charting system: Cerner EMR
• Navy scrubs required
• Must have recent experience with fresh open heart patients
• Must have experience with mixed ICU patients
• Telemetry, L&D, Emergency, and Critical Care RNs must pass a proctored Dysrhythmia Test on-site on day one (pass/fail)
• One day of unit-specific orientation provided
• Trauma Level 2 acute care setting
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• PALS preferred
• BSN not required
• Valid California nursing license required
