CVICU RN Job in Redding, CA

Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking a Registered Nurse for their 30-bed Cardiac ICU. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting October 6, 2026, with 3x12-hour day shifts (6:45 AM to 7:15 PM) at $2,980.80 per week.

Unit Details:

• Cardiac ICU with patient ratios of 1:1–2 (90% of shifts at 1:2)
• Charge nurses do not take patient assignments
• No nurse aides on unit; no IV team on unit
• Hospitalist, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy available 24/7
• GE telemetry monitors and Cerner EMR charting system

Schedule & Requirements:

• Every other weekend requirement
• Must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Self-scheduling with schedules made approximately 6 weeks in advance, subject to manager review and approval
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
• First to float—may float to telemetry or med/surg units
• Must wear navy scrubs
• 1 day of unit-specific orientation provided

Required Experience & Certifications:

• Ventilator experience required
• Recent experience with fresh open heart patients required
• Experience with mixed ICU patients required
• Must pass a proctored Dysrhythmia Test on-site on day one (PASS/FAIL)
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certification required
• PALS preferred; BSN not required
