About this role
MUSC Health Charleston is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment. You will perform PET/CT imaging across a diverse range of diagnostic scans in a fast-paced radiology department.
Role and Responsibilities
- Perform PET/CT scans including nuclear cardiology, bone, brain, renal, liver, gastric emptying, HIDA, MUGA, ventilation/perfusion, and whole body imaging
- Operate Siemens equipment and scanner systems
- Serve patient populations across all age groups from neonates through geriatrics
- Document procedures using Epic charting system
- Maintain radiation safety protocols with required badge supplied by agency
Schedule and Work Environment
- 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
- Varying start times between 6:30 AM and 10:00 AM; varying end times between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM
- No holiday shifts or on-call requirements
- Saturday work up to twice monthly may be required due to camera downtime or backlog
- Facility may call off one shift per two weeks; guaranteed hours policy in place
- Block schedule may be accommodated with prior approval
Requirements
- Allied Health Professional credential
- Minimum 1 year experience; first-time travelers accepted
- Current BLS certification
- NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N)
- NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(R) or ARRT(CT)
- South Carolina State License in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography
- Level 1 and Level II trauma experience preferred
- Epic experience preferred
Additional Information
- Uniform: Teal top and black pants
- Assignment start: July 20, 2026
- Weekly pay: $2,822.40
